Drosia is a coastal municipality located on the Viotia seaside while its administration belongs to the prefecture of Evia. It is the seta of the municipality of Anthidon and it had been estimated that its round-the-year inhabitants came up to 6000.
Drosia is built on the slope of mount Ktipas while viewing the Evoikos gulf.
Touristic activities in drosia started developing since the 90s. Until then, the main occupation of the inhabitants was agriculture and stock breeding. After 1990 the natural wealth and beauty became known and the touristic evolvement of the area started. In the beginning there was only one hotel establishment that was followed shortly by another two. There is also a respactable amount of rooms to let located by the sea, offered at rather low prices.
Drosia is very well-known for its exquisite sandy beaches, that alsmost surround the settlement and extend up to 8 kilometers.
The waters are warm and shallow, ideal for families with children.
Alongside those beaches there are traditional greek taverns where you will be able to taste delicious meat and fish, as well as cafeterias and bars where you can have a great time while enjoying your drink.
You will also be able to visit Ktipas with its unique flora. The lush green environment will enchant you while the view from up there will amaze you.
In the central square of Drosia you will be able to find a bakery, a supermarket, a pharmacy and pretty much everything you will need during your stay here.
